What is an Evaluation Version?

Evaluation versions provide a way of obtaining and evaluating software, giving users the opportunity to try a program on their own computer before buying it.

While evaluation versions are copyrighted, and the copyright holder retains all rights, the author specifically grants a user the right to freely evaluate and distribute the program, with limited exceptions.

After using an evaluation version for a defined trial period, the user must purchase a licensed copy or remove the evaluation version from their system.

What is Shareware?

Shareware is a way of obtaining and evaluating software, giving users the opportunity to try a program on their own computer before buying it.

While shareware is copyrighted, and the copyright holder retains all rights, the author specifically grants a user the right to freely evaluate and distribute the program, with limited exceptions.

After using our products for the defined evaluation period (30 days), the user must purchase a licensed copy or remove the shareware program from their system.

License to Redistribute

Provided that you verify that you are distributing the Shareware Version (select About from the products Help menu to check) in its original archive file, you are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the Shareware version of our software and documentation as you wish; give exact copies of the original Shareware version to anyone; and distribute the Shareware version of the software and documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means. There is no charge for any of the above.

You are specifically prohibited from distributing or bundling the software and/or documentation with other products (commercial or otherwise) or by other than electronic means without Chisel Software's prior written permission.

BY USING THE SHAREWARE VERSION OF ANY SOFTWARE AVAILABLE AT THIS WEBSITE YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, UNDERSTAND IT, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS' TERMS AND CONDITIONS. After payment is made, use of this software is limited to use on only a single personal computer or workstation which is not used as a server. An additional payment is required for each use on another personal computer or workstation.

Only a single copy may be made of this software solely for backup or archival purposes. The software may also be transferred to a single hard disk.

Any use of this software in violation of the above is not licensed.
